A seal whose life was saved after a flying ring became embedded in her neck has been released back into the wild by her rescuers - but she’s not the first seal to suffer traumatic injuries from the popular toy. <br /><br />The adult female grey seal - named Ghost Bug - was rescued by Friends of Horsey Seals at the start of April, and taken to the RSPCA’s East Winch Wildlife Centre for urgent medical care. Proud mum Arusha gave birth to the baby boy, named Mtembei, at West Midlands Safari Park.<br />Keepers set up a CCTV to monitor pregnant Arusha and she went into labour in the early hours of last Wednesday. The gull is sitting on eggs in a nest it built at the base of a tree in the Morrisons car park in Liskeard, Cornwall. She is now surrounded by barriers and staff have cordoned off eight car parking spaces to protect it.
